Our ideal candidate is self-driven, team oriented and safety conscious as you’ll be responsible for transporting LPG to multiple customer locations on a day-to-day basis.
This is a critical role that must ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, productivity, safety, and efficiency.
Core Responsibilities of the role, but not limited to:
- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane, in bulk or cylinder form, to and from specified destinations.
- Loading and offloading of cylinders from truck and platform
- Ensures truck is reloaded with cylinders and / or propane at the end of shift or working day.
- Safely deliver propane cylinders to customer locations in a timely manner using a mobile device (tablet).
- Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
- Report and document inferior and out of code customer installations
- Test for leaks (soap method as well as high pressure test)
- General vehicle maintenance – washing vehicles and keeping the interior clean.
- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures. Operates truck in accordance with established safety procedures. Including pre and post trip inspection reports.
- During daily interaction with customers provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquiries.
- Provide customer account information and updates.
- Requires call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.
- Must possess drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.
- Position will require working evening hours and weekends as needed.
You will need to provide examples of the following Key Competencies at interview:
- 3+ years’ experience working in a delivery capacity.
- Able to lift and maneuver propane cylinders ranging from 20 to 100 lbs in size and safely pull a delivery hose up to 175ft.
- Group 4 license
- Clean driving record
- Experience working with hazardous materials preferred.
- Experience working in a customer facing environment preferred.
As a Propane Delivery Driver, you must understand, communicate, and show a high level of safety awareness as they relate to our customers and employees.
The salary range for this role is $14-16 per hour on a 45 hour week contract with the statutory labour law benefits package
