Job Title:           Tractor/Trailer Driver 

Department:  Warehouse

Reports To:      Warehouse Supervisor and/or Warehouse Manager

Job Summary – The position will be responsible for providing assistance to the operations of the Warehouse by driving, delivering and unloading merchandise to all store locations as ordered. Responsibilities also include providing assistance and quality service to customers when making deliveries

Job Duties

  1. Provide all customers with prompt, courteous and friendly service.
  2. Preparing and loading dry and perishable products onto light and heavy-duty trucks.
  3. Delivering product to all Foster’s retail locations and other customer accounts.
  4. Operate various equipment such as electric and gas forklifts, and electric pallet jacks.
  5. Follow all department inventory control procedures.
  6. Follow company procedures to ensure safety.
  7. Show interest and willingness to learn the industry.

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following.

  1.      Greet, Offer to Assist and Thank (GOT) all customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner throughout the store.
  2. Play an active role in the company’s commitment to care, quality, value, and service while upholding its vision, mission, and culture points.
  3. “Commit to the company’s motto “BETTER BECAUSE WE CARE” and work with other associates to build a strong department team.”
  4. Effectively handle customer complaints and contact manager if necessary.
  5. Observe and report to shift as scheduled or assigned by Store Manager.
  6. Acknowledge and follow all department, store and company policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance always in accordance to company dress code.
  8. Achieve the highest associate morale in the industry by working in a style that demonstrates good work ethic by being Respectful, Supportive, and Totally Team Oriented.
  9. Practice the “Clean as you go” and proper sanitation procedures.
  10. Ensure work area is orderly, and free from safety hazards, report hazards to management.
  11. Able to properly operate, store and clean department equipment and tools.
  12. Notify Management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized markdowns, unauthorized sampling, or property damage/defacement.
  13. Exercise proper safety practices when lifting or moving product or using equipment.
  14. Perform any other duties assigned by Department Supervisor and/or Manager.

 

Job Function- Position Standards

  1.      Exercise safe food handling practices.
  2. Maintain the vehicle, equipment, and work area to the standards of the company.
  3. Assist in checking and verifying department receiving when required.
  4. Follow company procedures for receiving, unloading, and putting away daily loads from delivery and store products in designated areas to protect product quality.
  5. Report any questionable perishable products Warehouse Management.
  6. Handle damaged and spoiled products according to company policy and assist in controlling the level of damaged goods.
  7. Monitor cooler and display area temperature to ensure product quality; report refrigeration failure immediately.
  8. Ensure a safe work environment at all times

SALARY RANGE : KYD $13.55 - $18.65
